Holidays

Hi All,

We have been holidaying in Derbyshire for the last couple of weeks with no internet, landline or TV. The kids have been out walking and we all came home knacked.

I am so glad to get back from a holiday though as my son's routine goes right out of the window when we are away. We do take our picture exchange with us and on going somewhere for the day, my husband would do a little reccie and see if he could get a postcard of the place to put on the Board. However, nothing can prepare you for the grandeur of a place like Chatsworth House - apart from all the stairs, so no buggies. (Our son is too big to sit in a back bag which are provided free of charge). He was so good and only accidently set of one alarm by realising he could control the flow of the laser light - just the right height for a three year old!

We managed to get round in record time as the lure of the mini fans whirring away in every corner, of every grand room, made sure our son rushed past in his effort to get away from them. Actually, Chatsworth House was something I wanted to do and I am so glad we all came out of it intact, with nothing broken. The only time we lost him was in the gift shop and distracted by my other son, 3 yr old ran off. We found him waiting at a respectful distance from the last mini fan on the tour.

Will be going away for the last two weeks of August, and no grand houses are planned then!

Regards to all
